What to Bring:

• Valid Photo ID: Bring your original passport or another current photo ID. Photocopies are not accepted.

• Fingerprint Form (if applicable):  We offer generic forms (accepted by most countries) and FBI forms for U.S. background checks. It's your responsibility to know which form you need.

Appointment Length:

• Average: 15 minutes

• Recommendation: Allow extra time in case of multiple attempts

Hand Preparation:
Dry, rough, or sweaty hands can affect fingerprint quality. To ensure the best results:

• Moisturise: Use a good quality moisturiser for a few days before your appointment, especially if you have dry or rough skin.

• Minimise Chemical Contact: Avoid harsh soaps and cleaning products.

• Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated.

• Clean Hands: Wash your hands with a mild detergent and dry them thoroughly before your appointment. Apply moisturizer to dry hands or alcohol-based hand sanitiser to sweaty hands.

• Skin Conditions: Follow your healthcare professional's recommendations for managing eczema, psoriasis, or other skin conditions.

Fingerprint Requirements:

Different countries have different fingerprint requirements so it is important that you understand what the requirements are before having your appointment. ​Our prints are provided on either our own generic form endorsed by New Zealand Police, or on a FD-1164 form required for FBI background checks in the United States. It is your responsibility to determine the specific fingerprinting form required for your particular purpose and to ensure that the prints taken will meet those requirements.
