Canadian Police Clearance (RCMP Criminal Record Check)
Applying for a Canadian Police Clearance from abroad requires a certified criminal record check based on fingerprints. Because the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) only accepts electronic submissions, overseas applicants must have physical ink fingerprints taken and digitised by an accredited Canadian company.
Simple 4-Step Process
Select an RCMP-Accredited Digitisation Company
Because paper fingerprint cards cannot be posted directly to the RCMP from outside Canada, you must first choose an accredited Canadian fingerprint agency that can convert paper prints into an electronic submission. A list of accredited agencies can be found on the RCMP website. Contact your chosen agency to arrange the required documentation.
Book Your Fingerprinting Appointment
Once you have engaged an RCMP-Accredited Digitisation Company, book a session and print off and bring along the fingerprint forms you will have been provided along with your passport for photo ID.
Attend Your Appointment
Bring your passport as photo ID. We will roll your fingerprints, complete the certified agency details, and provide you with your completed cards.
Courier Documents to Canada
Send your original ink fingerprint cards, consent forms, and ID copies via secure courier to your chosen accredited Canadian agency to submit electronically to the RCMP.
